#304 One of the biggest problems teens are facing today is peer pressure. Peer pressure is a huge developing problem. Especially in middles school. You get pushed to do things you don’t want to do. some examples are smoking, joining a gang, and getting into trouble a lot. Peer pressure is is very hard to say no to because you just want to fit in with everyone else. But the best thing to do is say no!

I think that one of the biggest problem teens face today would be insecurity. Teens are going through so many changes that they may start to feel uncomfortable with how they look. They are more emotional during this time of life so little insults about who they are or how they feel can really effect their self confidence. Teens that feel that way can end up making poor choices to help make them feel better about themselves. So I would say that teens feeling insecure about themselves is a problem. They will probably grow out of their insecure stage, but the choices they made during that time could impact the rest of their lives. So we need to be a lot more careful about what we say to each other so no one gets put in a stage where they feel bad about themselves. We need to consider what everyone else is feeling and keep each other feeling positive!

I think the biggest problems teens face today is peer pressure. Kids are being pressured to do things they know could harm them or others and get them into lots of trouble. Today you may hear about alot of kids doing drugs or having sex when they are only in 7th or 8th grade but you never think anything of it until you actually know a child doing the same thing. I think that doing drugs and having sex is a popularity thing. Some kids might say “If you don’t do it I will make up rumors about you,” or “We wont be your friend if you don’t do it.” But I think the biggest problem is that other kids actually let those comments go to their head. Also alot of kids lie and say they do it or have done these things before knowing that they just want the attention. Both of these issues can harm with diseases yet you still hear about kids doing it.

I think the biggest problem that teens face to day is that teens are getting in to things like drugs. Drugs are a life shortener and they are bad for you. Teens still do them. I think they just do them to be cool. I think people should bee them selves and not to try to impress so other people. Also people say they are doing drug and they are really not. If you can not be you around someone you think is your friend then they are not a truly good friend. Being popular is not everything in life. I think that life is about living and having fun and not wasting your time on stupid stuff like drugs.

I think teens these days face quite a few problems. But there is one problem that I feel is a huge one. The big problem is drugs! So many teens these days are doing drugs or have experience with them. I think drugs are such a problem because so many people get pressured into it and then it just gets worse. I also think drugs are such a problem because some teens hang out with older people, or are in a gang or something then they think it is cool to do drugs and it’s okay. Most teens don’t think about what will happen in the future if they do drugs they just go with moment which can affect how their whole life can turn out. I think there is a few solutions to this problem. One solution is parents can try to keep a good eye on their child and if they notice something different they should say something. Another solution is teens can stay away from people that do drugs. I feel if teens are exposed to people who do drugs then they cant get pressured into it. That is one problem teens face, why its such a problem, and how we can try to fix this problem.

There are many big problems that teens have to face. One of the problem is under age drinking and smoking. Some people think its cool and get other people to do it too. Another problem that teens have is peer pressure. Teens pressure each other and its becoming a real problem. Some teens want to make friends. They cant because some people that think that they are popular don’t get along very well with others.

I think there are a lot of problems teens are facing these days. Drama is a big one! I just got out of a big drama fight with two of my friends and i hated it! There is no point to it. People are just talking behind each others backs and betraying each other. I actually lost one of my good friends because of the fight, but that’s okay because i realized she was all drama anyway.

This is a big problem because when you get in a big drama fight, that's all you think about. You end up not doing good in school because you are only focused on the drama situation. You also might end up losing friends because you just talk behind there back and it gets back to them some how. You can never believe what you hear because if someone says one thing it can get turned around and you find out that someone heard something you didn’t even say. A way that people can stop drama is just don’t listen to it. You don’t need to hear what someone did to that person.

I think the biggest problems teens are facing is peer pressure. I think this is a big problem because kids are like being force to do things they don’t want to do. They’re only doing bad things so they can fit in. Some things they do are drugs, steal things, and stuff like that. If they don’t do it their so called “friends” will just probably leave them and think there to cool to be with them. Some solutions are to just leave them, there not your real friends if there telling you to do things you don’t want to do. Also those things may mess up your life. You can get sick and be addicted and you might live a shorter life, so you can’t enjoy the rest of your life.

There are are many many problems that teens face today, but the biggest are probably smoking, drugs, and all around peer pressure. The first problem is smoking. I know a few kids in our school, in our grade even that do it. My question to them is, why would you even want to? The 9 news health fair was at my school one year and they took us to look at everything. They showed us an unhealthy lung that is from a smoker. IT WAS BLACK! Another huge problem is drugs. So many kids do drugs too! What happened to red ribbon week? Kindergarden to present, we always had red ribbon week which is a symbol of being drug free. the best way to prevent these things is to hang out with the right people. Its easy to get in trouble when your not.

I think the biggest problem teens face is relationships. As a teen most kids only care about opinions of other people and not how they feel. Most girls think that having a relationship with a person is a life and death situation same with some boys. So instead of getting to know the person they make choices based on looks as apposed to what hey have in common with that person. I for one think that the way people look at you is there own opinion and i don't care much for it. I don't have to have a boyfriend and i
died yet. i think teens should be more worried about grades and being successful rather than who likes them and who doesn't.

#324 I think...the biggest problem teens face today is school drama mostly in middle school. I feel this is the biggest problem teens face today because my friends and I always talk about all the drama there is, my friends and I all agree that school days would go so much better if there wasn’t drama. For an example if there wasn’t as much drama then students wouldn’t be focused on who’s talking about who and who wants to fight who. Stupid things like the examples that I just gave are things that students gossip about. I think that one possible solution could be to just stay out of drama and stay away from gossip.

I think the biggest problem teens face today is per
-pressure on drugs. Many teens are either into or on drugs or even being per-pressured into doing drugs. It’s very difficult to say no when being per-pressured, you may say it’s not but when in the moment of the event it’s more hard then people think. I believe this because being a teen and knowing what it is like to have many friends per-pressure you not into just drugs but to do anything you know that you shouldn’t. It is hard and nerve racking because you know if you don’t do it or you do then things could happen; physically or emotionally. Also its hard to tell anyone when your being per-pressured or what’s been going on like, how or why did it lead that person to do that? or was there a way you could of stopped it before it lead to something bigger? These are all questions that some teens may have or ask their selfs. A way to avoid this or stop it from happening is not to hang with people you don’t trust or feel uncomfortable around. If you can’t be yourself, express you opinion then they aren’t people or friends you should be hanging out with. Even though its so hard to say no, stick with what you know is right and what is wrong. If you know that its wrong find the power to stick with your morals, say no and let that group of people know you’re better than that. You are better than doing drugs or even trying drugs.

I think the biggest problem teens face today is peer pressure. Teens can easily be peer pressured into doing many things they know is wrong such as drinking, drugs, gangs, and many more. When teens are pressured into these things, they hurt more than themselves. Take drunk driving for example, if a teen is out driving under the influence they could easily get in a wreck and hurt many other innocent drivers or passengers in the car with them and of course themselves. Peer pressure is the cause of so many stupid mistakes teens make today, most teens will look back and regret letting their so called friends push them around and make their decisions for them.

I think that ONE of the biggest problems teens face today is smoking. I think that lots of teens smoke just because their friends are smoking too and maybe their just curious or something like that. The problem is that once they start it gets addicting and they can’t stop even if they want to. If they do manage to stop, their teeth and gums can get all yucky and they’ll blame other people for making them stop when really its their fault. Some solutions to fix this problem is to just not start smoking in the first place, or maybe if they stop and they’re teeth and gums are turning yucky and they don’t know what to do, they could just get it cleaned or something because there’s not really much to do when it gets to that point. Another big solution to do is, sometimes kids start smoking because they see they’re parents doing it too, so maybe adults shouldn’t smoke around kids or just stop, and if they can’t stop then they should smoke in other places, teach them that smoking is bad and thats its really hard to quit, or something like that because its really not okay. But you know, this is just one of the problems that teens face today because there’s allot more out there.

The first biggest problem I think teens have these days is the drugs and under age drinking.
I think it is such a big problem because for one, it is affecting their body. When they do drugs and drinking at such a young age it can cause major problems in their future. Secondly, its a major problem because kids are focusing more on going out getting drunk and doing drugs more then they are on school and more important things. I think the raising the age of buying drugs solution isn’t really working out to well due to the fact that the parents are buying their own kids the drugs and alcohol. One of the best solutions eye think would be more supervision. Kids these days aren’t getting as much supervision as they need to so maybe more of that would help the problem.

The second biggest problem I think teens have is fighting. I think this is another big problem because every single day there is always some sort of fight going on. I mean I understand getting angry at someone but do we really need violence to resolve the problem? Teens are taking the extreme to things so little. A solution I think would help make less fights happen is give bigger punishments then the law is giving now. Also to make kids more aware of what could happen and remind them. If communities start getting more serious about the problem I think less will happen.

First of all I think the biggest problem with teens today is peer pressure. I believe this because every one wants to be popular and cool. I think its such a problem because so many people want to make more friends and to look popular. Some solutions to this is to tell people to ignore others who think there not cool or popular. I also think that people should be themselves and be cool by being different. Peer pressure is why most people act like others and follow them into things that they don’t want to do. To conclude that is why peer pressure is the biggest problem today.

Although there are many problems teens are facing today, but the biggest problems today are teen pregnancy.

First, Teen pregnancy is a big problem because, most girls are to young to be having sex. Most girls who have had children either put them up for adoption because they’re not ready to be supporting a child, or kept the child, and are having a difficult time supporting them.

Second, Some teen mothers don’t have the right environment for a child to grow up in. Usually the child grows up, and has a hard life, because the teen wasn’t ready for a child. Then when the child becomes a teen, he or she will be more likely to have sex at a young age like their parents.

Last, The teen mother who has the baby, most likely ends up being a single parent, because the other teen, feels like he cant support a child. Sometimes, the teen mother even ends up putting the child up for adoption no matter what, because her parents most likely don’t approve of the decision their child made, and kicks them out of their house.

Some solutions for all of these things above, is either wait until your married to have sex, or you can go ahead and do it, and use birth control if you don’t to have a child at an early age.

Clearly, there are any problems teens are facing today, but one of the biggest problems today are teen pregnancy.

I think the biggest problem facing teens is that every middle school teen has a boy friend or girlfriend. Most girls think school is only about having a boyfriend, its almost the same with boys, but boys don’t focus on it as much. Some girls can’t stand not have a boy friend, I'm not saying it’s a bad thing, it just shouldn’t be at school. Also girls need to dress more appropriate for school. Girls focus on there looks. Thats not all bad but its just school not the mall. Like there should be no REALLY low cut shirts, not a lot of girls where them but sort of a lot of girls where them. I think this is such a problem because girls need to focus on school more then looks and boys friends. Some solutions to fix this problem are for girls to dress more appropriate for school or try to. I think there should be no PDA at school, but girls and guys could do what ever they want after and before school.

I think that the biggest problem the teens are facing in life is their face with acne a big problem in teens around the world. As teens start changing they start becoming scared and some don’t want to think about it. So when teens faces popping up with acne they don’t really know what to think about it, but they start thinking that they’re going to get teased and made fun of so they try to hide it, which will make their lives difficult. When teens learn that it is a, because they didn’t take care of there hair they resort to drugs. We all now of a those creams that can get rid of acne, but when the parents say that they don’t work they start taking drugs to get rid of them. Most teens get acne and half of them have it for the rest of their life, but of some of the rest when they go to drugs most never come back. That is why I think acne is the biggest problem that teens have to face in their lives.

328 I think the biggest problem teens face today is peer pressure. A lot of kids get pressured into doing things like stealing, doing drugs, smoking tobacco, and drinking alcohol. Many teens get pressure put on them by other people to do these things. some kids do these things things because everyone else is doing it and it just makes it even more hard to resist. All of these things are addicting and become a habit. people get very addicted to drugs, alcohol, and smoking tobacco. A lot of people say these things are relaxing or fun but in the end some people wish they wouldn’t have ever started these things. A lot of people steal things because they don’t have enough money to pay for what they want, but if people know that they can get away with stealing they start to do it just because they don’t want pay for it even if they have enough money to buy it.

Dear #342
I think nowadays there should be a safe place where kids can go to just sit and talk about what is going on in their life. It can even be a booth where kids don't have to look at people, they just say what they need to say and get it over with. I think the main reason why kids do stuff, like dress the way they do and do the bad things they do, is to get attention and because they think that no one cares what they do. But they don't realize that people do. So i think if kids could talk about their problems, there would be less of them to worry about.

I agree with most of u that peer pressure is a problem. Alot of people are worried about wat people think about them. I understand its hard to get past some of the mean things people say but... why do u let that get to you. Not saying u should ignore all comments about you mean or nice. Mainly because maybe they say something thats better for yourself and maybe be something you’ll want to improve.

Drugs are a big deal these days. Also being in a gang is supposely cool. I Some people talk about drugs and being ganster like its such a great thing. Half of them dont even know what it MEANS. Maybe some of them just want to be part of something so being someone else sounds like a good way to get attention. Is it really worth it.

342, thanks. I'm pretty sure we wont be friends again but that's okay because sometimes when I think about her I remember what she did to me and it really showed me her true colors.

Dear #332
I know we should encourage them and that is exactly what I just said. But Some kids dont understand that and do it anyway.

#302 I disagree with about acne being the main problem.. there is so many other problems teens face today that are more important then acne.

dear 330,
I have to disagree with the comment you wrote to 306 and 318. I mean, we are in middle school! Why date at age 13??? You shouldn't date just for fun. Only if you really like that person and you think the relationship will last longer that other middle school relationships. That means more than a couple of weeks!!!

I agree with #314. Girls shouldn't really think about there boyfriend. They might dump the girl then it'll b a lot of drama so they shouldn't waste time about the guy, anyways they have friends!!!

#344 you are so rite teens don't realize what they are doing to them self by doing drugs or having sex both of them can lead to a type of disease and some kids are like no that won't happen to me but it could happen to any1!! #324

#332 I agree people think they look they different because of there insecurity. Maybe that is why kids do drugs or not eat or put way to much make up on.

I think there is some bullying at our school, but there is bullying almost everywhere you go. I think bullying is a bad thing, but sometimes people bully others and they don’t even know that they are doing it. A lot of times people will joke around and someone ends up taking things kind of personal and things end up being a bigger deal then they should have. I think a lot of kids bully others because they already had problems with the in the past.

#324 I think bullying does happen in this school, I’ve seen it happen many times just yesterday I saw an 8th grader calling a 7th grader some really mean names. Bullying is a big issue, bullying can be both verbal and phisical and I’ve seen both. Bullying is not cool most kids do it because they feel bad about them self so they have to make other people feel bad. Some kids bully others because of what they look like and how they act. I was bullied in the past in 4th and 5th grade and I would go home crying almost everyday, I hated going to school. I know how it feels to be bullied so I wouldn’t bullie anyone.
